This past year continued a difficult trend for traditional linear television, cable and satellite TV providers.  Declines in  viewing have accelerated as streaming and FAST channel viewing has continued to grow. Broadcast networks have continued to reduce expenses in response to these trends and focused their capital spending on purchases that will reduce expense or directly increase revenue.
